This is a k-type wire thermocouple TC-1 with plastic insulation. The welded bead at the tip is the sensing spot, it can be immersed to measure the temperature of fluids or attached to objects to measure thier temperature. It is also great to measure the temperature of air and inert gasses.
It conforms to the standard accuracy specification for k-type thermocouples and can be used with k-type thermometers of any manufacturer, as long as it has a miniature type connector.
