This is a great insertion thermocouple with a K-Type sensor, designed for an extra large temperature range up to 1832°F. The sensor is housed at the tip of a 19.5 inch long stainless steel probe, which comes with a large 5 inch long handle. It has a miniature type connector that will work with digital K-type thermometers (see my shop for a good selection).

I can imagine that it is great to measure ovens, furnaces or melting metal and it can be used in metalworking. Honestly, I first did not believe that it would work all the way up to 1832°F, so I got my propane torch and tested it, and yes, it works!

On the photo the probe is bent, it will ship this way and you then can easily straighten it out.
