PK-700 High Temperature Fiberglass

These are our Type K Thermocouples with high temperature fiberglass insulation.

These have a range of interesting applications. I have customers who use them for wildfire reseach. The probes are installed in the vegetation before a controlled burn. Some researchers intall them in fire prone areas with long term data loggers, and wait until a natural fire happens. I also have customers who use these in fire reseach. The PK-700 is install in objects, materials or building structures.  Both applications benefit from the sensor tips that have the isulation secured with wire. This avoids the plastic shrink tube on cheap sensors, where the plastic burns and acts as additional fuel, leading to wrong readings.

The long version of this PK-700 sensor is used in industrial applications for overn, for example for annealing of metals or curing of powder paint.
