K-Type Thermocouple with Kapton Insulation for Digital Thermometers

This is a reliable thermocouple wire probe with a K-Type thermocouple sensor. The k type sensor is at the tip of a 70 ft long wire probe, which has a high temperature Kapton plastic insulation, good up to 752 degree Fahrenheit °F or 400 degree Celsius °C. Short term it can be used at even higher temperatures. The wires are AWG 24, or about 0.5 mm. The thermocouple diameter is about 1.5 mm. This probe can be made with solid or with stranded more flexible wire.
The thermocouple has a miniature type connector (2 flat blades) that will work with digital K-type thermocouple thermometers and data loggers of many manufacturers (Nicety, Fluke, Extech, Omega). This k type thermocouple probe can be used to measure air or gas temperature, non corrosive liquids, many solvents and the sensor can be attached to pipes or embedded into objects you want to measure.
This thermocouple will read very low temperatures, if you have a suitable thermometer. I have tested this down to -350°F (-210°C) with my thermometer DT1311 and DT1312. Some k-type thermocouple thermometers only measure to -58°F. The miniature K-type thermocouple connector can easily be opened and you can shorten the wire if desired.
