Description

This is a thinner version of our popular high temperature type K thermocouple PK-1000 (AWG 20 or 24, depending on length)

The new K-type thermocouple PK-1000-AWG30 is made with a thin AWG30 wire and the same high temperature ceramic insulation. It is much more flexible than the PK1000 and has a small heat load, therefore it frequently is used in small kilns, to measure flame temperatures or in high temperature furnaces in the semiconductor industry. It can be used for temperatures up to 1000 degree C or 1832 degree F. Short term it can be used to 1370 °C. The only limitation is that the durability, since the wire is thinner it will not last as long.

This version comes with stripped ends, no connector plug

Specification:

Type K thermocouple Chromel/Alumel

Metal wire thickness 0.25 mm or 30 AWG

Outer diameter: about 1.2 mm

Length: 48 inch / 120 cm

ANSI color coded braid: red= (-), yellow = (+)   , the red wire is magnetic, the yellow wire is not magnetic

ANSI Standard Limits of Error

Fibers at the tip are secured with wire

Stripped ends, no connector plug
