Description

K-Type Thermocouple CR-02 for Digital Kiln Thermometer

- 1 thermocouple with high temperature ceramic tube insulation -

- connector plate for wiring included -

-58 to 2498 °F    (-50 to 1370 °C)

This is a heavy duty K-type Thermocouple for use in kiln and furnace applications. The probe is made from AWG 8 Gauge thermocouple wire and is rated for continuous use at very high temperatures up to 2500 °F Fahrenheit or 1370 °C Celsius. The k-type thermocouple is about 8.5 inch in total length, and the 6 insulation tubes are about 6.5 inch long. A connector plate for wiring the probe to your k-type thermometer or a temperature controller is included.

This type K Thermocouple Kiln Probe is made with 6 ceramic insulators, each about 1 inch long, and it allows you to adjust the probe length by removing insulator elements and shortening the wire to your exact requirement.

A connector cable to connect the thermocouple CR-02 to a digital K-type thermometer with miniature connector is now available: https://www.meter-depot.com/connector-hookup-cable-f-high-temperature-k-type-ceramic-thermocouple-sensor-cr4/

This k-type thermocouple is frequently used in ceramic ovens, kilns and furnaces, in pottery ovens, metal working, manufacturing and whenever you need to measure and control very high temperatures.

Ships quickly from St Paul, Minnesota, USA. If you have questions we can help.

HIGH TEMPERATURE K-TYPE THERMOCOUPLE SENSOR FOR CERAMIC KILN FURNACE CR-2

Posted by DAVID K PHILLIPS on 2nd Jan 2024

The thermocouple is actually an improvement over what failed in my kiln. It is well built, and better materials in the form of heavier wire and more substantial ceramic sleeve. The delivery was fast and the cost of shipping was reasonable considering the destination was Alaska. I would definitely purchase from this company again.

    performs great

bought 2 for monitoring upper and lower kiln temperatures, both sensors were within a degree of each other and performed as expected over a test fire. Shipping and receipt were as advertised - thanks!

CR-2, Type K, High Temp Thermocouple

Item is just as advertised. Very well made and robust design. I easily shortened the probe length with heavy duty wire cutters and removed 3 of the ceramic insulators to fit my application. Additionally, Carsten was very helpful and quick in responding to my questions on the basics of thermocouple wiring. A positive experience all around!
