18 inch long K-type thermocouple for a Denver Glass Kiln

This is a specialty K-type thermocouple for a Denver glass kiln.

The total length is about 20 inches. The ceramic sensor is about 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 inch long, including the twisted tip. The thickness of the ceramic insulator is about 3/16 inch.

Made from 0.8 mm diameter K-type sensor wire with standard accuracy and high temperature fiberglass insulation.

Note that the red wire is connected to (-), the yellow wire is (+). We recommend that you connect the new sensor to the kiln controller and the carefully heat up the kiln. The temperature display should go up. If it goes down this indicates that + and - are switched. Correct that and try again. We also recommend that you run the kiln under close supervision, to make sure the thermocouple works normally.

This Type K thermocoule was made for a specific customer who sent us the dimensions of his Denver glass kiln. We since have successfully made this thermocouple for several other customers who have old Denver glass kilns.

We are not sure if this will fit all Denver Glass Kilns. If you have information on the original probe in your kiln we can match that.
