Description

K-Type Thermocouple PK-1000 for Digital Thermometer

- 2 thermocouples with high temperature ceramic mineral fiber insulation -

-58 to 1832°F    (-50 to 1000°C)

This is a great and reliable high temperature thermocouple PK-1000 wire with a K-Type sensor.

The sensor is at the tip of a 3 ft long wire probe, which has a high temperature ceramic fiber insulation. It has a miniature type connector that will work with most digital K-type thermometers. This probe can used to measure air or gas temperatures, it can be attached to pipes or embedded into objects you want to measure. Excellent to use in kiln, pottery, metal working or a high temperature oven or furnace.

This is our new 2017 version with improved ceramic fiber insulation and a chromel metal wire at the tip, which prevents the unraveling of the ceramic fiber insulation at very high tempreatures in the kiln.

Specification:

Thermocouple: K-Type (chromel / alumel)
Number of thermocouples included: 2

Temperature Range:
-58 to 1832°F  (-50 to 1000°C)

Wire length: approx. 3 ft / 36 inch / 94 cm
Probe Diameter: 0.2 inch (5mm)
Miniature K-Type connector

This thermocouple PK-1000 will read very low temperatures, if you have a suitable thermometer. I have tested this down to -350°F (-210°C) with my thermometer DM6803 and DM6804. My DT804 and DT804A only measure to -58°F.

    Little long for my needs

The length of the probe, albeit flexible, seems a little long. I use it coiled. Hope that does not impair the readings. Easy to attach to the thermometer.
