K-type Thermocouple w Fiberglass Insulation

We sell a range of high quality beaded K-type thermocouples with fiberglass insulation. These are available in two grades. The 400 series K-type Thermocouple sensor has a fiberglass insulation that is stable to 752 degree F (400 degree C), while the 700 series K-type thermocouples have a high temperature fiberglass insulation that is stable to 1292 °F (or 700 °C). On cheap thermocouples the braided fiberglass at the sensor tip is secured with plastic shrink tubes, which can melt when the K-type thermocouple is in use. Our K-type  thermocouple sensors have the tips secured with very thin thermocouple wire. This allows you to use the probe over the full range without plastic melting or burning. Type K thermocouples are made with chromel/alumel wire.
